Committees

Executive

Chair: Kim La

The Executive Committee consists of the WCC, WVC, WC, WKRS, and WKF. The WCC shall serve as Chair. The duties of the Executive Committee are to interpret and implement the policies of the Chapter and to settle all misunderstandings and irregularities not covered by specific articles in the Constitution, Bylaws, or House Rules.

Financial Review

Chair: Zill Patel

The Financial Review Committee consists of the WCC, WVC, WKF, WKF’s assistant, and other Brothers determined by the last Chapter meeting of the semester. The WKF serves as the Chair. The duties of the Financial Review Committee are to review all the books and financial accounts of the Chapter at least every two months and report the same to the Chapter at the next regular meeting.

Membership

Co-Chairs: Sidney Jones & Maria Ibrahim

The Membership Committee consists of the WCC, WMA, WIG and other members appointed after elections, but before officer installation. The WMA and WIG serve as Co-chairs. The duties of the Membership Committee are to investigate the eligibility and character of any person whose name may be proposed for membership. Committee members will assist with planning and executing rush events, as well as other duties set by the WMA and WIG.

Social

Co-Chairs: Joshwa Summer & Lillie Sumner

The Social Committee consists of three or more Brothers determined by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. There are two Co-chairs who are elected by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. The duties of the Social Committee are to provide for the entertainment of guests and to coordinate all matters of a social nature pertaining to the Chapter.

Achievement Award

Co-Chairs: Elizabeth Lively & Austin Seawright

The Achievement Award Committee consists of the WCC, WVC, WC, WP and Brothers determined by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. The WC and WP shall serve as Co-chairs. It shall be the duty of the Achievement Award Committee to coordinate all matters associated with the Chapter’s participation in the Achievement Award Program. The committee shall meet at least once monthly. The AA report for the month will be reviewed by the WCC before it is submitted to the National Office by the WC before the deadline. The WC shall keep record of all AA reports. Duties of the WP are to create a publication schedule which provides officers, committee chairs, and authors of articles about 2 months before deadlines for articles to include in the next edition, and to produce a scrapbook that will serve as a permanent record for the Chapter and will be displayed at Grand Council. Members must take pictures at each major event and record the Chapter’s activities.

Fundraising

Co-Chairs: Ameera Jamshad & Chandler Brown

The Fundraising Committee consists of the WKF, the WKF’s assistant, and Brothers determined by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. There are two Co-chairs, one being the WKF’s assistant and the other is elected by last the Chapter meeting of each semester. Duties of the Fundraising Committee are to develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet the monetary requirements of the Chapter. All monies allocated by the budget to the Fundraising Committee must be returned to the Chapter by the end of the semester.

Professional/Service

Co-Chairs: Sergio Alejo & Ashlee Greene

The Professional/Service Committee consists of three or more Brothers determined by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. There are two Co-chairs who are elected by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. Duties of the Professional Committee are to research, plan and execute professional programs on health topics for other health professionals of various disciplines or for the lay public, and organize the Chapter’s Brothers to provide service to the community.

Scholarship

Chair: Sarah Cassell

The Scholarship Committee consists of the WVC and other Brothers determined by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. There is one chair who is elected by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. Duties of the Scholarship Committee are to create a plan to encourage academic excellence and orchestrate innovative scholar activities and ways to celebrate academic success.

Alumni

Co-Chair: Jessica Ijeoma

The Alumni Committee consists of the WAL and other Brothers determined by the last Chapter of each semester. Duties of the Alumni Committee are to create alumni newsletters and aid in planning alumni-focused events each semester. Members help maintain alumni relations in the chapter and help the transition into alumni as Brothers graduate.

Judiciary

Chair: Kim La

The Judiciary Committee consists of the WCC, WVC, one Brother-at-large from each eligible class at the time of voting, and one alternate Brother-at-large. These non-officer Brothers are elected by a plurality vote by the last Chapter meeting of each semester. The alternate Brother-at-large sits on the committee and votes in place of another committee member as needed due to absence or conflict of interest. The WCC serves as Chair. Duties of the Judiciary Committee are to arbitrate any grievances that cannot be resolved between Brothers or within the Brotherhood, levy and forgive fines and other remediation, and determine when a Brother is placed on probationary status.
